Job Description

Location : Washington, DC

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Duration : 12 month contract, with possible extension

W-2 or 1099

No C2C, visa transfers, or sponsorship

The DNA Group is seeking a Senior JAVA Developer (DMV) for its client who will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level JAVA applications for modernization initiative. This role focuses on implementing scalable solutions using cutting-edge technologies, such as Spring Framework, containerized deployments, and Agile methodologies, to enhance government operations and customer services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong back-end development skills, expertise in JAVA frameworks, and experience in improving existing software systems.

Develop enterprise applications using JAVA and Spring Framework.
Collaborate with teams to design and implement software architectures.
Refactor and troubleshoot systems for better performance.
Maintain security, performance, and scalability of applications.
Create and manage technical documentation throughout the development process.
Track system performance and address technical issues effectively.
Use GIT, JIRA, Maven, and RedHat OpenShift for CI / CD workflows.
Offer technical guidance to teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications :

Update, refactor, and troubleshoot existing systems for improvement.

Spring Boot, Integration, and Web Services.

Knowledge of Annotations, Generics, Reflection, and OO Design.

Skilled in GIT for collaboration and development.

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

LINUX Environment : 3 years (Required)

RedHat OpenShift : (Desired)

Mainframe CICS with JCA Connector : (Desired)

CI / CD Practices Knowledge : (Desired)
