At The Doe Run Company, we are seeking a skilled Metallurgist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in maximizing metal recovery while being mentored by a Senior Metallurgist.
To be successful in this position, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field. You should also possess strong computer skills and data analytics abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
In addition to technical knowledge, you will have a basic understanding of minerals processing unit operations, including material, mechanical, and energy balances. Familiarity with environmental regulatory requirements is preferred.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and optimizing process performance, coordinating the collection and analysis of technical data, and troubleshooting issues related to processing. You will also lead or participate in projects and complete reports as required.
