This position offers a competitive base pay and is eligible for the Company variable pay (bonus) plan. Benefits start first day and include insurance, paid time off, and various customer discount programs.
The Doe Run Company is seeking a Network Engineer to support and maintain data and voice networks. This position will provide support for all network infrastructure issues enterprise wide. This position is based out of our Central Office in Viburnum, MO.
Education & Experience:

Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field required and a minimum of 4 years experience with IT communication systems. Or high school diploma plus 5 years experience with IT communications systems.
- ITIL foundations certification, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic skills in supporting WAN/LAN systems using a variety of Cisco devices.
- Basic skills in controller-based wireless networking.
- Basic knowledge of Webex calling systems.
- Basic knowledge of SD WAN, preferred.
- Familiarity with What’s Up Gold or Similar
- Basic knowledge of network monitoring software systems.
- Basic organization, problem solving, analytics and decision making skills.
- Basic understanding of change control best practices.
- Basic knowledge of business analysis and requirement gathering to support projects.
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate in a fast paced environment.
- Local travel to other company locations up to 25%.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project planning, business analysis, requirement gathering from internal customers, develop and implement network and security solutions and testing. Train users as needed as well as document the solution.
- Implement and support of local and wide area network systems.
- Implement and support of telephone systems.
- Provide Tier 1 support for all network related requests and issues.
- Coordinate with vendor resources as needed.
- Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Tools Utilized, Environmental Conditions, Physical & Lifting Requirements:
- Computer, tablet, phone, printers.
- Work is generally performed in a standard office setting.
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, and to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movement. Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
