Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Boarding Attendant to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will ensure that each dog receives the care and attention they deserve while their owners are away.
We are in need of someone for weekend shifts only. This is a Saturday 9:30am - 2:30pm shift, as well as Sunday 9:30 - 2:30pm.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide basic care including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Conduct daily health checks on all dogs to identify any signs of illness or distress.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Pet Sitter, or in Animal Handling is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices including animal restraint techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both dogs and their owners effectively.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
