What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Daycare Attendant position at The Dog Stop - Upper St Clair?
This position is two-fold. The primary focus of this employee is the care of the dogs, followed by the care of the facility (which in return increases the quality of care the dogs receive). Handlers spend their days in the day care yards and in the kennels ensuring that the dogs receive the attention and care due to them while in our facility.
The Dog Handlers are responsible for all aspects of our dogs' care and well being. Must have a positive attitude and be confident and comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments in large group (20 or so dogs) settings. Candidates with a background in dog care is preferred, but not necessary.
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 7 hrs. Positions available to work days, evenings and weekends.
Job details include: Monitoring our dogs in the play yards to keep them safe; immediately responding to any conflicts; Cleaning play areas, kennels and common areas and last, but not least...doing laundry and dishes.
