About the Franchise Success Manager:
The Franchise Success Manager is responsible for guiding their assigned franchisees growth, development and maximizing results while maintaining a consistent stellar customer experience and compliance with The Dog Stop (“TDS”) franchise system. This includes ensuring that franchisees are following all TDS processes and procedures, coaching franchisees on maximizing the return on their investment, assisting franchisees with operational, marketing, sales, and merchandising guidance, and partnering with our TDS training team to ensure that all franchisees are properly trained.
About You:
At TDS, we’re looking for individuals who embrace the franchise relationship and are:
· Influential leaders and coaches that can clearly articulate the WHAT, HOW, and WHY of initiatives, policies, and procedures and secure buy-in and adoption from business owners and their teams
· Well-versed in franchising with a general knowledge of functional support areas, including People Operations, Training, Marketing, Finance, and Development
· Business savvy with strong financial acumen and the ability to review and understand business related documents and reports, including P&L statements, KPI reports, budgets, and proformas
· Experts of customer service with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationship skills
· Champions of organizational skills with critical attention to detail
· Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities paired with an ability to multi-task and prioritize
· Comfortable managing relationships remotely and conducting virtual training sessions, business reviews, and meetings
· Advocates for process and ensuring franchisee compliance with the TDS franchise system
· Ready, willing, and able to commit to ~50% domestic travel per month
What You’ll Do:
· Provide counsel, advice, and assistance to franchise owners/operators to impact and improve sales, profits, and operating standards
· Ensure franchisees establish and consistently review, amend, and maintain business plans appropriate to the size of their business, overall business goals, and TDS objectives
· Promote the TDS culture and foster productive working relationships with franchisees, as well as serve as a liaison between the various departments within the TDS corporate office and our franchisees
· Be accountable for the financial performance of each TDS franchise store within your market, including average unit volume, average member spend, membership sales, retail sales, and other initiatives as designated by the TDS corporate office
· Assist franchisees and internal marketing team in developing and executing effective marketing plans that follow TDS guidelines and brand standards
· Conduct scheduled and unscheduled franchise store visits to provide support, training, and ensure operational excellence and compliance with the TDS franchise system
· Establish and maintain effective, professional, and respectful business partner relationships with franchisees, TDS corporate team members, community partners, vendors, and more
· Provide leadership in developing and managing business, merchandising, and marketing objectives through effective partnerships with appropriate departments, vendors, and other regional franchisees
· Protect the TDS brand, our equity, and value by ensuring consistent franchise execution of all TDS policies, procedures, initiatives, workflows, and trainings in the exact manner as prescribed by the TDS corporate team
· Maintain and be accountable to the operating budget set for your franchise market area, ensuring that all site visits and goals are achieved within a set expense budget
· Provide virtual and on-site training and support to new and existing franchisees on new processes, procedures, and initiatives as directed by the TDS corporate team
· Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by TDS corporate.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
· Bachelor’s Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience sufficient to excel in this role and perform the expected responsibilities
· Prior Managerial/Supervisory experience preferred
· High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability and desire to work in a hybrid work setting that consists of at least 50% travel and a combination of work-from-home and office days each month and the potential for weekend work
· Valid Driver’s License
· Experience in franchising and/or canine care/management strongly preferred but not required
