Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Part time Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters needed in Montecito, Santa Barbara and Carpinteria.

THE DOG WALKER takes great care of clients dogs for over 25 years. We take them to the beach and on local neighborhood walks.

We are looking for some Reliable, Responsible & Fun People to help with Local Beach Walks and Neighborhood Walks for some Wonderful Doggies in need of outings with a fun new friend AKA their Dog Walker.
The majority of our clients are in the Montecito area.

The walks are 60min each. Most clients have 1 or 2 dogs but some have 3.
We only accept nice friendly doggies with great owners.

Most of our clients are regular / long term clients. This means that your schedule will not chop and change each week.

This part time job is great for Artists, Musicians, Writers, Retiriees and Students who would like to get paid to exercise and hang out with some really fun doggies in their spare time. If you have grown up with dogs or walked dogs for friends and family before, then we would love to hear from you. Applicants MUST have a reliable car. A dog friendly car is helpful but not essential.

If you are interested in Pet Sitting or Boarding, we get a little of those as well.

We will only match you with doggies that you are 100% comfortable walking.
We will supply you with Leashes.

You will communicate directly with the clients re their doggies schedule.
You will also need to keep track of the walks you do and email us a report each Friday so that we can pay you weekly via Zelle.
We pay per dog per walk that you do.
One Dog / One Owner = $30.00 per 60min Walk
Two Dogs / One Owner = $50.00 per 60min Walk
Three Dogs / One Owner = $75.00 per 60min Walk

If some doggies live close enough to walk them together:
Two Dogs / Two Owners = $60.00 per 60min Walk
Three Dogs / Three Owners = $90.00 per 60min Walk

Realistically you will probably start off with One or Two Doggies and then as calls come in you can build up your pack and sooner or later you will be able to walk more than one dog at a time.

Our clients rely on us taking great care of their doggies, so it is very important that once accepting a client, you are available to walk their doggies according to the schedule you set with them. When need be that you cannot be there on any particular day due to an unforeseen event, you will need to communicate with the client to reschedule the walk, if possible or talk to us to see if we can get your walk covered by somebody else if need be.

We do NOT take any of our clients dogs hiking in the local mountains, nor do we take them to any local Dog Parks. We ONLY walk them on the local beaches or in the neighborhood around the clients house where safe to do so.
