OUR COVERAGE AREA:
Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, Rocky River, & Westlake. (We occasionally require employees to travel to downtown locations to assist our VIP clients.)
THE JOB:
(Please note that the company is responsible for setting your shift roster and schedule.)
- Drive to the client's home.
- Walk the dog.
- Take pictures and add notes in our smartphone app.
- Return the dog home, provide water, and follow other client instructions.
- Secure the client's home.
- Proceed to the next appointment!

SHIFTS:
Shifts are structured as follows: potential candidates should be prepared to work regularly and complete their entire shift. It's important to note that shifts may occasionally start and end later than scheduled, or even conclude earlier, depending on client needs. Typically, work shifts range from 4 to 6 hours on most days. Additionally, employees will have a rotating Saturday shift approximately every eight weeks. Sundays are designated as a day off for all staff members. The shifts are :
- 9am - 1pm
- 10am - 2pm
- 12pm - 5pm

As we cater to a higher-end clientele, it is essential that all prospective candidates conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Candidates are expected to exhibit exceptional personal hygiene and maintain a well-groomed appearance. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in both verbal and written communication, avoiding any use of crude or inappropriate language. Candidates must be able to exercise discretion and confidentiality in accordance with our clients' right to privacy.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST :
- Have a Clean Background Check
- Pass a Drug Test
- Be 21 years of age or older (no high school students)
- Be able to take payment on the books (no under-the-table pay here)
- Be legal to work in the US
- Have a valid driver's license and state minimum insurance coverage
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to walk in Cleveland's unpredictable weather for 20-30 minutes at a time (We won't let the weather stop us!)
- Have a smartphone in good working condition
- Have a data plan on a major carrier network (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, etc.) NO PREPAID CELL SERVICE.
- Live within reasonable driving distance of our coverage area. If you do not live near the western north shore suburbs of Cleveland, you need not apply.

CLASSIFICATION: W2 Employee
COMPENSATION:
The Doggie Concierge utilizes a piecework compensation model, which is a standard approach in the dog-walking and pet-sitting industry. Our team consists of W2 Employees rather than 1099 Independent Contractors, meaning that our staff is classified as employees rather than independent workers. Unlike traditional hourly pay, our employees are compensated based on the number of completed appointments. Each employee receives a base rate, which is determined by the duration of the appointment.
The compensation will fluctuate according to the specific daily appointments scheduled, their respective durations, and the efficiency of travel time between locations. When employees assess their earnings on an hourly basis, they can expect the rates to fall within a range of $12.00 to $18.00 per hour.
