Dog Walker

This role entails a commitment of 3 to 4 specific workdays each week, offering flexible hours from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM to accommodate client appointment needs.

The Doggie Concierge is seeking a dedicated and reliable enthusiast of large breed dogs who is eager to earn extra cash walking dogs a few days a week. If you have a passion for these amazing pups and the commitment to provide them with the care and attention they deserve, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate should be observant, patient, reliable, and comfortable with all dog breeds, as well as some cats. If this sounds like you, please keep reading!

RESPONSIBILITIES

(Please note that the company is responsible for setting your shift roster and schedule.)

• Drive to the client's home.
• Walk the dog.
• Take pictures and add notes in our smartphone app.
• Return the dog home, provide water, and follow other client instructions.
• Secure the client's home.
• Proceed to the next appointment!

What are the qualifications?

• Clean Background
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable Transportation
• Able to walk in Cleveland’s unpredictable weather for 20-30 minutes at a time (We won’t let the weather stop us!)
• Smartphone in good working condition
• Data Plan on a major carrier network (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, etc.)
• Live within reasonable driving distance of our coverage area. (Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, Olmsted Falls/Township, Rocky River, and Westlake.)

Pay Model: The Doggie Concierge operates on a piecework model of compensation, which is a common practice in the dog walking and pet sitting industry. Our staff is made up of W2 Employees and not 1099 Independent Contractors. Employees are not considered hourly. Under this model, employees are paid for each completed appointment. The company offers a base rate to all employees, which is determined by the length of each appointment. However, the earning potential of each employee depends on their efficiency in completing appointments and traveling between them.

Compensation: Will vary based on daily appointments, their duration, and travel time efficiency. If employees break it down to an hourly rate, it would range from $12.00 to $18.00.
