Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a mortgage originator for single family real estate. DFS originates two main loan products- a short term loan bridge for fix & flip, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM per month. DFS is looking for a detail-oriented Portfolio Manager to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a leader in portfolio management. This position plays a vital role within the Loan Servicing department and will work closely with the Loan Servicing Manager to align the efforts of the entire servicing team.

- Understand all aspects of the real estate transaction, including the loan/investment structure, borrower/partnership/LLC structure, securitization level documents, property management, and market dynamics
- Work with an emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation
- Make sound risk decisions in hand with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements
- Provide a single point of contact with our clients and internal departments regarding assigned assets, including monitoring all tasks associated with the assigned assets
- Direct customer contact both inbound and outbound communication (phone/email) including collections, inquiries, issue resolution and assistance.
- Identify and analyze issues and craft strategies to execute remediation and passive loss mitigation strategies for upstream resolutions
- Interact with borrowers/developers/general partners, investors, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze tax returns, property and client financial statements
- Identify loss mitigation strategies and successfully deploy
- 5 years experience within Asset Management, Commercial Servicing, Commercial Underwriting, or another comparable field
- Strong relationship building & communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results and/or relationships
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Technically savvy with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Advanced skills interpreting, applying and explaining written and oral regulations, and instructions
