Description
Workforce and Contractor Diversity Compliance is a growing field in the construction industry. Working both in the office and the construction site, the individual will perform collection, analysis, and reporting of documentation to ensure compliance with applicable company and agency regulatory requirements. As a Compliance Specialist you will work collaboratively with the construction and development teams. Information will be shared across common work sites, updated regularly and training provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to multitask and understand the regulatory requirements regarding the construction workforce and contractor diversity per project.
- Creation and maintenance of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to create and maintain project specific tracking logs utilizing excel and internal compliance software.
- Communication of requirements to our internal team as well as subcontractors.
- Collection and review daily sign in/out logs, cross reference to weekly certified payroll reports and canceled paychecks to verify that all workers on site were recorded on payroll and paid in accordance with the governing wage and benefits.
- Respond to certified payroll report inquiries including rate calculations by subcontractors.
- Perform site visits interviewing construction workers with regard to labor classification, wages and benefits being paid comparing against both reported and required wages per reporting agency.
- Submit all requirements while adhering to deadlines as contractually obligated.
- Maintain department electronic files; including daily logs, certified payrolls, Subcontractor forms, etc
- Maintain Subcontractor’s forms; track renewals, and ensure they are in good standing with agency databases.
- Track and follow-up with Subcontractors regarding proper documentation needed based on awarded contracts and requirements.
- Track changes and updates to federal, state and local compliance regulations and standards.
- Assist with various adjunct projects with labor standards components and training as needed.
- Adhere to various weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual agency reporting requirements.
- Ability to travel within the 5 boroughs required.
- Ability to safely navigate a construction site which will include the following: climbing stairs, use of job hoists, inclement weather conditions, hazardous/cluttered and dark areas.

- Ability to travel within the 5 boroughs, required
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- No experience needed in compliance reporting, willing to train
Salary : $20 - $24
