We are a family-owned business in Pella, IA that manufactures plastic drainage tile/pipe and serves the Midwest. We currently have 1 full-time opening for our yard team and are excited you are interested in joining our amazing Yard Crew!

We are looking for a talented and dependable Yard Worker to join our team. On-the-job training is provided, but previous all terrain, 4-wheel drive forklift experience is required, and experience with driving truck and trailer is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for product quality control, loading and unloading product, and hauling loads to and from the plant/yard driving a pick-up truck with a 40-foot flatbed trailer attached. This position is full-time, and schedule is alternating weeks that are Monday- Friday or Tuesday-Saturday with some opportunity for overtime in high seasons (late fall, early spring).
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Consistently check product for quality, bringing any concerns forward immediately to supervisor
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
- Ensure all product is loaded exactly to order. No room for error!
- Drive product to and from Plant/Yard utilizing our truck/flatbed trailer
- Load/Unload product, ensuring no damage is caused to product
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
- Wear all required PPE
- Communicate updates timely and effectively
- Cross-trained to work as backup Manufacturing Tech when needed inside the Plant. This could be anywhere from 10% to 50% of the time if needed.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED)
- Reliable Vehicle (you must be able to show up to scheduled shifts)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must Undergo Criminal Background Check
- Ability to work in loud environment
- Ability to kneel, squat, reach overhead, and stand for majority of workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Must have good vision and depth perception
