Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service. The Host/Host will be responsible for managing the front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests. This is an entry-level position, but we welcome candidates with hospitality experience or a passion for customer service.
Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival and seat them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant, ensuring that the dining area is always clean and well-maintained.
- Take reservations and manage the waiting list as needed.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest concerns or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including the front desk and waiting area.
- Utilize Aloha POS to manage orders, track guest preferences, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Provide guest services, including answering questions and addressing any special requests or needs.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and valued, and that their experience exceeds their expectations.
Skills:
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment.
- Proficiency in using Toast POS.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Experience with guest services and relations.
- Knowledge of food service and hotel operations.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift light objects.
