Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our servers and contribute to the smooth operation of our restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist servers in taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all guests feel welcome and valued
- Help with food preparation and plating as needed
- Support the kitchen team with food handling, storage, and presentation
- Manage the cash register and operate the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant
- Participate in banquet setup, service, and teardown as required
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food safety practices
- Collaborate with the server team to ensure efficient service and maintain a positive work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service
- Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including menu items, cooking methods, and presentation standards
- Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and stand for long periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
