The Dream Center is a faith based 501(c)3 non-profit. We exist to encourage, educate and empower people in need through the love of Jesus Christ. Everything we do as an organization, is intended to provide a hand UP instead of a hand out including our one year Opportunity Village Housing program.
Summary / Purpose of Position:
The Dream Center is seeking an energetic, Christ-centered, individual(s) to Provide support for the daily operations of our residential program for women and children, ensuring a supportive environment aligned with our program's guidelines and agency Core Values. The ideal candidate needs to be spiritually mature with a vibrant, everyday relationship with Jesus and have a passion for serving and loving others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of residents four days a week (Monday-Thursday)
- Transportation for Residents & Children to work and daycare in the morning (6-9 AM) and evenings (4-9 PM)
- Able to drive a 12 passenger van when necessary
- Respond appropriately to emergencies (CPR Certification is a preferred but not required–training can be provided)
- Administer resident medications and log appropriately
- Attends staff and supervisory meetings as required as a member of the team.
- Uphold all guidelines of the Opportunity Village program.
- Complete a daily report after each shift to ensure all members of the Opportunity Village team stay informed
- Be invested in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an active member in your church
- Foster a spiritually enriching atmosphere for residents and their children
- Have a willingness to lead a morning devotion in order to encourage Residents in their spiritual walk with Christ
- Ensure a safe space while upholding Core Values and guidelines of the program.
Hours: Part Time Position
- Hours: Full=Time Position with Benefits available
Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 9:00am, 4:00pm-9:00pm;
Overnight stay required. Onsite accommodations provided for overnight stay.
On-site residence is an option as part of salary package for unmarried female applicants.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred years of experience: 3 years' experience in direct client relationships or related supervision.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Possess the ability to speak the truth in love while upholding guidelines
- License/Certification: Valid SC Driver's License with a clean record able to be added to Insurance.
- Able to drive a 12-15 passenger mini-bus and/or van. (no CDL required)
- Be excellent with children
