What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant position at The Dream Works Inc.?
SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Degree completion from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy. Must hold current license in Physical Therapy or PTA from state where services are delivered, currently being Kansas and/or Missouri. Willing to work with varied groups of individuals cross-age/cross-disabilities. Certification in First Aid and Adult CPR or willingness to attend training. Must be organized, possess time and personnel management skills and work well in group settings. Presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal abilities required.
DUTIES:
- Evaluates, plans and administers appropriate techniques of PT treatment as prescribed by a physician and as outlined in customer’s support plans;
- To keep and record documentation of all activities and events;
- Participate in developing customers’ Person-Centered-Plans; multi-disciplinary team meetings as needed;
- Attend therapy staff meetings;
- Abide by the Standards of Conduct attached to this job description;
- Attend Fundamental Agency Training (part 1), First Aid/CPR, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI);
- Other duties as required by supervisor.
