Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an infusion setting, following established protocols and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects during infusion therapy.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about the infusion process, including potential side effects and self-care measures.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely.
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Athenahealth, to document patient care.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and regulations.
- Experience in performing mammography procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong discharge planning skills to ensure a smooth transition from infusion therapy to home care or other healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of primary care principles and practices.
- Experience in providing specialized infant care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations, such as interpreting lab results and assessing patient symptoms.
