Job Summary: The Assistant Manager, Events Transportation is responsible, under the direction of the Manager of Events, for leading, coaching and guiding the Events Team and their activities in creation and delivery of amazing programs for our customers.
Essential Job Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be an experienced, expert level team manager in the events or complex hospitality space with a deep and broad background in leading diverse teams of creative professionals. The successful incumbent will be a seasoned, polished, innovative professional and inspirational leader of people as well as an experienced program and project leader and logistician, and perform at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness on a consistent basis.
· Staffing planning, organizing, and leading teams of employees to ensure work is performed in a manner consistent with the company's standards
· Develop the Events strategy in collaboration with the Events Manager and lead the operations to execution, with an eye towards sustainable, diverse programs
· Establish, implement and achieve group metrics and reporting functions considering best practices in NPS scoring, customer satisfaction and program success
· Collaborate with other leaders to achieve and surpass company revenue goals and customer service objectives
· Ensure that team scorecards are focused and effective
· Comply with applicable regulatory policies and safety best practices
· Promote a culture of service excellence utilizing regular training, audits, and reports
· Manage day-to-day operational challenges in a fluid service environment.

Experience and Education
· BS in Marketing or Business
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related industry role at the leadership level
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a team or group manager
Knowledge of:
· Expert level knowledge of events programs
· Expert level knowledge of staffing planning for events and logistics
· Senior level experience using reporting and analysis tools
· Senior level skills with MS Office and related communication tool, e.g. Excel, Word, Calendar
Skills in:
· Excellent written & oral communication skills
· Ability to translate data and reporting into actionable plans and recommendations
· Excellent ability to work as a leader as well as part of a leadership team
Physical Working Conditions:
Position would spend time in an office setting, repair facilities, in the field and in vehicles. Office work may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Field work would require the ability to work outside in various weather conditions and actively in a provided vehicle. Work in repair facilities or depots may require walking on uneven surfaces, entering and debarking from vehicles, and changes in temperature and noise levels. The position may also require the ability to lift, drag and push files, paper and documents weighing up to 35 pounds.
Special Requirements: (1) Must be willing and able to travel to and attend training and meetings within or outside the boundaries of the home area; (2) Must be willing and able to work outside regular business hours and on occasional weekends, attending meetings, etc. as needed.
