What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning Associate position at The Drouin Wealth Management Group?
The Financial Planning Associate is responsible for streamlining processes for clients from meetings to back-office operations, facilitating the case notes with their advisors/team members, gathering necessary documents and information from clients prior to meetings, and ensuring teams have all tasks needed. They will sit in client meetings with advisors and are responsible to taking thorough notes. For the right person, this may be an introductory role on the career path to becoming a Financial Advisor, Paraplanner, Firm Partner, and/or another integral member of the team. Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Administrative Duties
o Attend client meetings with advisor and take thorough internal notes
o Transfer all pertinent information to case note template for each meeting and assign appropriate tasks to each team member – to be completed within 24 hours of each meeting
o Ensure team members have all relevant information in order to complete tasks
o Contact clients prior to all meetings to assist in gathering needed homework items
o Work with team to ensure all tasks get completed in a timely manner
o Scan and file all documents from clients into the appropriate folder and upload to file management system
Prospecting and client management
o Processing referrals accordingly
o Sending nominators language when applicable
o Reaching out to referrals to book meetings for potential clients – will work with Administrative Assistant to complete
o Maximize feed list efforts – creation and identification of potential “A” referrals
o Record and track client segments within the client management system
o Work with Executive Assistant entering client data in CRM and other client tracking software
Compensation Note:
o Listed compensation on job description reflects a fully licensed candidate (minimum of Life, Accident & Health, SIE, 63/65, and Series 6 and/or 7. Other candidates that do not have these requirements will start at lower pay scale.
While licensure is preferred, it is not required for this position as we are looking for the right person to join our team. A person without licensure will be expected to obtain all necessary licensure within 12 months of hire.
