Fabrication Manager

Job Summary :

Univeral Maintenance (a Dupps Company) is currently seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee our fabrication department and ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in various fabrication processes, including welding and machining. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage a team effectively while maintaining compliance with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines efficiently.
• Oversee the training and development of staff in welding techniques, machining, and other fabrication processes.
• Ensure all fabrication work complies with relevant codes and standards, including rigging practices.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring they are maintained in optimal working condition.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs and provide input on manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, material usage, and inventory levels.

Requirements :

Schedule : Monday - Friday : 7am - 330pm EST. Some weekends as needed.

Pay Range : Starting @ $30.00 per hour with full benefits including a matching 401(k).

Salary : $30
