The Durable Slate Company is looking for a Roofing Materials Manager to join our team.
This position requires a working understanding of inventory control, ordering and preparing materials for outgoing construction and roofing jobs, using inventory software and working within a purchase order system.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a working understanding of inventory control, ordering and preparing materials for outgoing construction and roofing jobs, using inventory software and working within a purchase order system.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the inventory is up-to-date, stored appropriately and in the proper locations and maintained in an orderly fashion.
- Ordering needed materials and keeping materials in stock so they are ready for use.
- Maintenance of equipment and tools and ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
- Tracking material usage, waste, profitability etc.
- Planning material usage in relation to scheduled jobs.
- Fabricating metal, pulling slate and materials for specific jobs, running materials to job sites (occasionally)
- A valid driver's license that qualifies for coverage from our insurance (typically 4 points or less) is required.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens.
- Must be proficient with computers and inventory control software.
- Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift and carry items of various weights (up to 75 lbs.) in the warehouse
- Loading material off and on trucks as needed.
- A minimum of 1 year experience with managing inventory systems.
- Familiarity with the Foundation or other inventory control software
- Ability to fabricate metal and copper
- Experience operating power tools and equipment
- Forklift certification/experience
- STARTING PAY RATE OF $20-26/hr.
