Job Description
The Process Engineer is responsible for providing the technical support to drive required improvements for a process area or sections of equipment generally under the direction of an Operating Department Manager. One process engineer could support multiple high volume lines for example.
Responsibilities
Lead technical changes on lines or in a process area which will improve the reliability of the equipment, improve the quality of the product, reduce changeover times, and improve ease of operation or safety of the operation.
Lead the technical transfer of new initiatives from Product Development to the plant ensuring all start up criteria and quality criteria are achieved.
Responsible for assisting the department in the development of required procedures and training materials and delivery of training to operating personnel.
Works on any project which helps the department achieve its costs and loss reduction objectives to drive the plant to achieve its compelling business need.
Qualifications
An Engineering Degree is required.
Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma tool knowledge and demonstrated use of tools is preferred.
A demonstrated ability to lead teams or project endeavors in and out of the work- place.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software is required.
