The Product Line Leader is a forward looking role that has significant input throughout the life cycle of the products they are responsible for including design input, manufacturing, quality, etc.
The Product Line Leader is responsible for managing a team of people, which involves both the engagement and development of their team. Carry out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Direct reports include 10-12 experienced leaders and responsibility for 150-200 indirect reports.
Responsible for leading a multi-faceted team including members from :
Production
Purchasing
Planning
Quality
Safety
Liaising with other departments to achieve the product-line goals including :
Engineering
Sales
Information Technology
Performance Management : monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product line, including profitability, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Product Strategy & Development : oversee the design, development, and implementation of product strategies to meet market demands and company goals.
Budget Oversight : develop and manage the product line’s budget, ensuring cost efficiency while achieving growth targets.
Team Leadership : lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team responsible for the product line, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Quality Assurance : ensure that all products meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
Inventory Management : oversee inventory levels and production schedules to balance supply with customer demand.
Customer Relationship Management : act as a liaison between the company and key customers, addressing feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement : drive initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall product line performance.
New Product Launches : plan and execute introductions, coordinating with engineering and sales to maximize impact.
Problem-Solving : address and resolve operational or product-related challenges in a timely and effective manner.
Travels to other company locations as required and as necessary.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and / or Business Administration (preferred).
Experience in an industrial product setting with lean manufacturing a plus.
Conversive on modern quality and safety topics.
Mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements :
Mobility to go from office to manufacturing environment on a frequent basis.
Mobility to travel to other company locations.
Communication skills to interact with management and personnel.
Manual dexterity to effectively use a computer keyboard.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, bend at waist, kneel crouch, and stand for extended periods.
