The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee and enhance the quality management processes within our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality before reaching the market. This role involves quality planning, control, assurance, and requires strong leadership and analytical skills. Leading and developing quality assurance processes and teams organization wide.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed standards prior to market release.
- Perform quality assurance tests to improve lead times and reduce waste.
- Evaluate internal data, customer complaints, and returned products.
- Establish and perform failure analysis and determine data requirements. Apply statistical methods and mathematical calculations to refine processes and standards.
- Manage quality control objectives and activities to address corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and coordinate with manufacturing teams to understand and meet customer requirements.
- Provide quality education and training programs for employees. Develop training materials and establish acceptance criteria, including specifications. Implement and conduct Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.
- Develop and implement quality policies.
- Supervise quality control employees, inspire and motivate the team to achieve high performance standards.
- Travel to other facility locations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- ISO Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform job functions that may include standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40lbs
- Industrial shop floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
