CourtTV is currently looking for our next Line Producer to hire! For nearly two decades, Court TV brought high-profile courtroom dramas into American living rooms. Continuing that legacy, the E.W. Scripps Company brought back one of the most iconic brands in television history. Court TV is devoted to live gavel-to-gavel coverage, in-depth legal reporting, and expert analysis of the nation’s most important and compelling trials. The network is available on cable, satellite, over-the-air, and online at CourtTV.com. It is also carried on an expanding array of streaming services and apps, including YouTube TV, SiriusXM, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV. The Line Producer is responsible for developing, pitching, and producing creative content for a news and / or entertainment show. The Line Producer must also have an in-depth understanding of production within an entertainment-news environment. You'll be responsible for the oversight of live or pre-taped programs. Edits copy to assure compliance, calling for video changes when necessary; oversees all final edits for that day's broadcast under a deadline. This position also coordinates and checks continuity for all video and still elements in the video walls during the day's on-stage shoot.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Oversee offline and online post-production schedules and delivery of daily packages to the online editor.
- May write and produce content.
- Edit teases and open for daily show.
- Supervise taped video production by organizing the program elements; back timing the program and working with the production crew to organize necessary technical means and personnel requirements to accomplish the task.
- Oversee visual elements for studio recording, including producing visual components of the virtual set.
- Work with post-editors on final production.
- Responsible for ensuring the final show is fed to participating stations at the deadline daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
