Civil - Transportation Engineer, Altoona, PA Office
Job Summary :
The EADS Group, Inc. which began operation in 1955 has an immediate opening for a full-time Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation in our Altoona, PA Office.
This position will support our current clients and workload associated with transportation projects, including but not limited to highway and bridge projects, computer-aided drafting, permitting, creating vertical and horizontal roadway alignments, cross sections, Highway Occupancy Permitting, drainage design, erosion, and sedimentation pollution control. This position is responsible for the development of transportation design deliverables under the direction of a project manager.
The ideal candidate will have
- 0-4 years experience with an emphasis on roadway design (PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission), drainage design, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation pollution control, NPDES permitting, etc.
- The preferred candidate will also have experience with the design development of transportation projects, regulatory permitting, and proficiency in the use of engineering software including but not limited to MicroStation InRoads / OpenRoads, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS.
- Knowledge of the PA DEP NPDES permitting process is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- Lastly, the preferred candidate will also have completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
