Civil - Transportation Structural Engineer, Altoona, PA Office
Job Summary:
EADS Group, Inc., has an immediate opening for a full-time Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation Structures in our Altoona, PA Office.
This position will support our current clients and workload associated with transportation projects, including but not limited to bridge, culvert, and retaining wall designs, project management, and computer-aided drafting. This position is responsible for developing transportation structure design deliverables under the direction of a department manager.
Here's what you'll need:
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
Here's what we'd like to see:
• The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience with an emphasis in transportation structure design (PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission).
• The preferred candidate will also have experience with the Municipal design development of transportation structure projects.
• Proficiency in the use of engineering software including MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads and PennDOT Structure Design Software (including BRADD 3, ABLRFD, PSLRFD, STLRFD, BXLRFD, etc.).
• The preferred candidate will also have completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or be Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
