DISH MACHINE OPERATOR

Dish Machine Operators (DMO) tasks include responsibilities of cleaning and maintaining dishware/utensils for the continued smooth operation of the restaurant in addition to safety & sanitation tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to perform duties in varying environment temperatures such as a freezer, walk-in cooler and warmed air around oven space.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand & walk during entire shift, reach, bend, stop, lift, wipe & carry up to 50 pounds, in addition to descend and ascend stairs.
- Must be competent in proper basic knife skills.
- Reading and writing skills required.
- Able to retain information to perform duties in multi-tasking environment.
- Frequent washing of hands & use standards to eliminate bare hand contact for specified ingredients utilizing prep gloves & other approved tools.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation with the ability to work independently & prioritize tasks effectively.
- Team player with the ability to communicate well with others
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized working environment
- Completing tasks on prep list for needed food & beverage items to be utilized throughout the restaurant.
- Following & performing preparations of ingredients & recipes as written, in accordance with The Eatery standards.
- Specific side work and prep area equipment maintenance with appropriate chemicals & safety standards.
- Always following all HCAP & other safety standards with particular attention to time & temp guidelines using thermometers, timers & other tools.
- Ensure safety with use of ovens, stove, rotating & sharp equipment & tools.
- Vigilantly focused on fresh, safe food preparation, storage, labeling and rotation.
- Being coachable with the ability to work well as a team while taking direction from management & supervisory personnel.
- Personally responsible for policy outlined uniform components & all required certification and permits in accordance to city and state laws.
- Maintaining the availability of clean dishes at all times
- Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises
- Taking out the trash & rinsing cans
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
