About this position
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical education consultant to advance its research and operations agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean Region. As consultant you will :
The consultant will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of education projects that integrate traditional policies, behavioral economics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve two core goals : (i) Improve teacher attraction, retention, skills, and well-being and (ii) Strengthen student educational trajectories. Additionally, the consultant will advance the Education Division's smart spending agenda through analysis of equitable and efficient resource allocation across teachers, students, and schools.
You will work in the Education Division part of Social Department. This team is responsible to formulate public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the delivery of education, work, social protection, and health services. The objective is to advance a more productive region, with equal opportunities for men and women, and greater inclusion of the most vulnerable groups.
What you’ll do
Support the Division's smart spending agenda through research, policy analysis, and operational support, with a focus on spending efficiency and student and teacher allocation systems.
Design and implement projects that integrate traditional policies, behavioral economics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve teacher attraction, retention, skills, and well-being and strengthen student trajectories.
Manage stakeholder engagement with governments and technology firms by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, documenting outcomes, and additional project management tasks as needed.
What you'll need
- Education : Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Economics, Public Policy, Education, or other fields relevant to the role.
- Experience : At least 5 years of experience in Economics, Public Policy, Education, or other fields relevant to the role.
