Fund Development Associate

Our client, a Houston nonprofit social services organization, is seeking a Fund Development Associate. As a valued member of the Communications and Development Team, this role drives the organization’s presence through fundraising and engagement strategies with corporate, foundation, and individual supporters.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Development, this Associate will maintain and increase a donor portfolio through development writing, relationship building, management of social media and website content, and donor stewardship.
- Manages and enhances relationships with existing strategic partners using a proactive and service-oriented approach, with a focus on increasing sponsorship opportunities.
- Analyzes, reports, and provides recommendations on fundraising trends.
- Researches, identifies and solicits partnerships with new external organizations, private funders, foundations, and corporations.
- Data Analysis and Management Reporting
- Oversees and ensures the integrity of records & data management in the donor database.
- Prepares special reports and/or collateral for funders, board members, executive leaders, and staff.
- Provides support and excellent customer service to internal and external partners, including donors, volunteers, board members, and partner agencies.
- Creates and publishes engaging content to the organization’s social media channels, website, and donor stewardship communications.
- Assists with special event activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience, OR associate degree and four years related experience, OR high school degree/GED and five years related experience
- Experience in the nonprofit sector, with a writing sample available
- Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills
- Basic web design, social media management, and Adobe Creative Suite experience or willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting established deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
- Non-Profit fund development experience
- Proficient writer; expertise in proposal writing
