Quality Manager, CMO/Contract Manufacturing Organizations
Houston, TX
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager, CMO/Contract Manufacturing Organizations, for our client, a global manufacturer of nutraceuticals, to manage and ensure quality of products and production processes as well as regulatory compliance globally for products delivered to customers. This position is based at the manufacturing facility in Houston, TX.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure all products are safe and are of the proper quality for customers.
- Execute QA tasks, contribute to the QA team and develop the team together with the VP and QA colleagues.
- Communicate consistently with CMOs globally for quality follow-ups.
- Participate in quality audits and certifications at the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure quality systems are implemented to secure compliance under GMP/Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain and continuously improve quality and approve events in the Product Quality System, including deviations and investigations.
- Ensure product traceability throughout the entire supply chain.
- Work with other QA Managers to confirm knowledge sharing and efficiency in the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in related field required
- 5 years as Quality Manager in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of chemistry, analytical methods and technical processes in a manufacturing facility
- Skilled motivating and leading a quality team with global responsibility
- Proficiency working with eQMS systems
- Experience with regulations relating to supplements or foods globally
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
