Vice President Global Quality Assurance
Houston, TX
Our client, a global manufacturer of nutraceuticals, is seeking a VP Global Quality Assurance to
ensure the quality and safety of products and production processes, as well as regulatory compliance, globally for all products delivered to consumers. This position is based at the manufacturing facility in Houston, TX.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain global QA in compliance with short and long-term company strategies.
- Using a global perspective, motivate employees of the company to improve quality.
- Oversee and continuously improve the Product Quality Systems.
- Manage oversight mechanisms such as agreements and audits for activities delegated to third party organizations globally.
- Ensure subsidiary manufacturing operations and quality teams implement and follow company quality standards.
- Coordinate regulatory agency inspections and certification audits.
- Review and approve specifications and GMP related master data.
- Communicate compliance issues to global senior management and internal customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree required
- Master of Science highly preferred
- 10 years QA management for a nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or food manufacturer
- Experienced QA management for manufacturing safety certifications such as SQF/NSF
- Strong understanding of chemistry or microbiology, analytical methods and technical processes within manufacturing
- Global experience highly preferred
- Experience with eQMS systems
