The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) is seeking experienced professionals, industry leaders, and subject-matter experts to join our Advisory Board. As an Advisory Board Member, you will provide strategic guidance, insights, and connections to support the organization’s mission of expanding educational access and professional development opportunities for underserved communities, particularly displaced individuals and women.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offering expertise and strategic advice in areas such as fundraising, nonprofit management, education, technology, marketing, legal compliance, and corporate partnerships.
- Assisting in identifying funding opportunities, corporate sponsorships, and grant possibilities.
- Expanding TEEI’s reach by leveraging personal and professional networks to connect with potential partners, donors, and supporters.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to the leadership team on scaling impact and operational strategies.
- Representing TEEI at networking events, speaking engagements, and industry conferences as an ambassador for the organization.
- Participating in biannual Advisory Board meetings and contributing insights as needed.
This is a volunteer position with flexible involvement based on expertise and availability.

- A passion for educational initiatives, nonprofit work, and social impact.
- Recognized expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Fundraising & Philanthropy – Experience in donor engagement, grant writing, or corporate social responsibility.
- Corporate or Foundation Partnerships – Connections with organizations that align with TEEI’s mission.
- Nonprofit Strategy & Governance – Experience in advisory roles, strategic planning, or board leadership.
- Marketing & Communications – Expertise in branding, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Education & Workforce Development – Experience in academic leadership, edtech, or upskilling programs.
- Legal & Financial Expertise – Knowledge of nonprofit compliance, tax law, or financial oversight.
- A strong professional network that can support TEEI’s goals through introductions and advocacy.
- The ability to contribute expertise and advice on an as-needed basis, with a minimum commitment of two advisory meetings per year.
