Adopt-A-School Program Coordinator Job Description
Reports to: Program Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Education Partnership provides school supplies for students and their teachers in low-income schools in Southwestern PA. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers embody the organization's core values (equity, integrity, resourcefulness, respect and service) and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative office and warehouse space with a clear focus on helping kids in need.
As a key member of the Program Team, the Adopt-A-School (AAS) Program Coordinator will work directly with the Program Director to ensure successful program planning, coordination and implementation. The Program Coordinator will manage the communication, logistical coordination, and overall execution for the Adopt-A-School program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adopt-A-School Program Coordination:
● Coordinate all aspects of Adopt-A-School process
● Sponsor and school communication including enrollment verification
● Marketing order and verification
● Coordination and execution of kit build and presentation with adopted school, sponsor,
volunteers and staff
● Create and manage roles and responsibilities for TEP staff members engaged in kit
builds and distribution events
● Collaborate with Program Director to regularly update Adopt-A-School processes,
product offerings, forms, supports for schools/sponsors, and distribution program as per
feedback from evaluation data
Relationship Management:
● Create and deliver engaging follow-up with sponsor, provide meaningful sponsor
stewardship
● Collaborate with Advancement staff to ensure successful annual sponsorship renewal
process
● Assist in creating program-related communications and clear messaging for TEP’s
website
● Assist with Adopt-A-School sponsor lead generation
Adopt-A-School Presentation:
● Work directly with Program Director and Executive Director to craft a compelling school
presentation each year
● Participate in delivering engaging Adopt-A-School presentations
Reporting, Growth and Audit:
● Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure the accuracy of program inventory
counts, purchase needs, and distribution data.
● Review weekly/quarterly SF and team reports with Program Director to ensure timely
progress toward programmatic goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Communication:

● Ability to collaborate across teams
● Superior internal and external communication skills
Technical understanding:
● Experience with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM preferred
● Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
● Superior process and project management skills
● Bachelor’s Degree required
● Valid PA Drivers License
● Regional travel for distribution events is required.
● Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
● Ability to stand, stoop, bend
● The following PA clearances, or proof of application of clearances, are required
beginning employment and as a condition of continued employment:
o Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
o Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Compensation range is $21-$23 per hour and will be commensurate with the applicant’s education level, experience, and other attributes.
