POSITION: Assistant Superintendent for Learning/Educational Services
(Twelve (12) Months Position)
START DATE: July 1, 2025
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
SCOPE:
The Assistant Superintendent for Learning/Educational Services provides executive leadership for the ESCNJ’s overall instructional programs designed to improve the educational delivery system and maximize student achievement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- New Jersey School Administrator Certificate or CE
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Ten (10) years of public school certified employment with no fewer than five (5) years in management
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directing the planning, development and implementation of Pre-K, elementary and secondary education, professional development, support services, grants, state and federal programs and parent-community outreach programs
- Participating in short and long-range strategies, planning of instructional programs and support services
- Participating in the review and evaluation of ESCNJ instructional programs and support services
- Ensuring the integrity and successful delivery of services and support for teachers and support staff to implement effective instructional strategies
- Coordinating the completion of all required state and federal documents necessary for compliance with existing laws and administrative guidelines
- Performing all other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Have a proven track record in developing and implementing instructional programs for an exceptionally diverse student population
- Possess a strong background in instruction design, curriculum development and evaluation research
- Demonstrate high standards for academic performance and commitment for instructional excellence
- Have extensive experience in strategic planning, personal evaluation and curriculum review and evaluation
- Show the ability to work effectively with ESCNJ staff, community representatives and members of the Board of Directors
Minimum Salary: $150,000/Yr.
