Job Description
This is a hybrid position located in the Washington DC area. As a Lean Six Sigma specialist, you’ll provide technical support to a federal agency in:
- Analyzing processes
- Documenting processes
- Reviewing and revising documentation
- Creating process diagrams and models
- Creating process narratives and other associated documentation
You will work under the supervision of the project manager and be part of a cohesive project team.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivery of excellent products to support project requirements.
- Bring a positive attitude, professionalism, and flexibility to our growing team.
- Desire to improve the client processes and associated documentation.
- Act as project technical writer responsible for documentation required of the project including: Policies, SOP’s, OI’s, Job Aids and other
- Creating new documents
- Revising existing documents
- Reviewing and editing documents created by the team or client
Required Qualifications
- 4 year college bachelor degree or 6 years equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years analyst experience
- Experience with using LSS techniques in government/non-manufacturing environments
- Direct experience with process improvement and understanding business process goals, systems, data, people requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvements across all aspects individually and collectively.
- Experience developing organizational documents including procedure documentation and job aids.
- Experience with developing process models/maps.
- Experience creating project documentation such as: Meeting notes, Policies, Procedures and Job Aids
- Excellent writing skills – Consistency, Clarity, Compliance, Completeness
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to commute to client site in the DC area
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) experience
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Office Suite, Project
- Project management experience/certification
- Experience in interacting with client staff and leadership in the development of processes, frameworks, communications, training, and change management materials.
- PMO experience, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in process simulations and simulations analysis a plus.
- xperience in robotic process automation (RPA) and/or machine learning a plus.
- Master’s Degree
Additional information
Hybrid work environment with 2 days per week in office schedule. Company office is in Arlington, VA, preferred candidates will be located within the Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia (DMV) area. Travel to customer sites is very rare and clients are in the DMV area. Travel to customer sites is not reimbursed for hybrid employees.
