Event Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary
As an Event Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff members by conducting searches, utilizing handheld metal detectors, patrolling, and monitoring designated areas to deter any disturbances and criminal activity. Event locations vary.

Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area - at the discretion of your supervisor and the client's manager on duty.
- Investigate alarms or disturbances
- Provide assistance to people in need, when authorized

Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Certified and active through the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) (in VA)
- Certified weapon(s) training (in VA)
- Reliable Transportation

Skills
- Conflict management skills
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques
- Understanding of law enforcement procedures
- Military background is a plus but not required
- Possession of relevant certificates such as First Aid, CPR, or CCTV operation
- Ability to perform surveillance and monitoring duties efficiently and effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 70 per week

Experience:

• Security: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• DCJS Unarmed Security License (Required)

Shift availability:

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Day Shift (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
