Are you a coffee enthusiast with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service?
The Elms Hotel & Spa is seeking dedicated and friendly individuals to join our team as Baristas.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy making someone's day with a perfect cup of coffee, we want to hear from you!
As a Barista, you will greet customers warmly, take their food orders, and provide information about our products while looking for opportunities to up-sell. You'll prepare all drink orders to hotel standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Operating a cash register, handling payments accurately, and following all Marriott customer service and cash handling policies will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, you'll educate and inform customers about different coffee beans, preparation methods, and home brewing techniques. Maintaining cleanliness and stocking customer areas to ensure a welcoming environment is essential. You'll follow The Elms operational policies and procedures, including safety and security measures, and stay calm and composed during busy periods or unusual events, setting a positive example for the team. Interacting with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner is key.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and basic computational ability. You must be able to lift up to 10lbs and have the ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods. Providing the highest service standards to all guests and maintaining the cleanliness of the Coffee Bar area are crucial. You'll need to meet and exceed all guest requests and expectations with a professional attitude and adhere to proper cash handling procedures, including tip reporting and due backs. Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays is required. Customer service experience is preferred, and a passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about coffee preparation and brewing methods will set you apart.
