The Restaurant at the Embers Hotel, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is seeking professional, friendly, and fast-paced Bartenders to join our Food and Beverage team.
Full-time and part-time positions available to work primarily day shifts with some evenings as needed. We are open breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week.
$15 - $22 per hour including tips.
Tucked in the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, The Embers Hotel offers 36 guest rooms and suites with full-service restaurant and al fresco dining patio. This boutique location embodies a fireside retreat with 4-star service in an approachable, natural setting.
Job Summary:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Greet, direct, seat, and serve guests in accordance with company service standards.
- Be knowledgeable about all beverage options offered, regularly making recommendations to guests.
- Craft, mix, and pour all beverage items in accordance to Food and Beverage standards.
- Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotel offerings, and related materials.
- Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
- Reconciliation cash, accurately charge credit cards, and make appropriate cash deposits at end of shift. Complete all transactions using the Point of Sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work place.

Experience and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Feel comfortable using POS and on-line reservation systems.
- 1 year bartending experience in a high volume full service restaurant
- Prior Wine/Beer/Liquor knowledge with an interest in beverage/mixology
- Alcohol training certificate a plus, will train all employees on proper liquor service.
- Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
- Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
