Position Summary:
We are seeking a Walmart.com eCommerce Manager to oversee the performance of a subset of Emerson’s brands on Walmart.com. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales, advise on content, and strengthen our presence within Walmart’s digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the Walmart.com platform, a data-driven mindset, and experience in managing multiple brands in an eCommerce environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the eCommerce performance for a subset of our brands on Walmart.com, ensuring growth, profitability, and share of voice.
- Develop & execute digital strategies tailored to each brand’s objectives.
- Manage 1P & Marketplace execution by ensuring content optimization, pricing accuracy, inventory availability, and promotional alignment.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to internal teams and brand partners.
- Be the face of the brand to Walmart – serve as the primary contact for Walmart’s eCommerce and Merchant team, regularly presenting sales performance, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Act as the primary contact for Walmart.com teams related to your assigned brands, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between in-store and online strategies, along with execution.
- Drive content optimization strategy by overseeing product listings, recommending any PDP enhancements, and ensuring compliance with Walmart’s ever-changing guidelines.
- Troubleshoot issues on site – identify issues and partner to resolve errors related to pricing, availability, content suppression, and listing visibility to minimize sales disruption.
- Stay ahead of eCommerce trends by analyzing competitive activity, industry best practices, and Walmart.com algorithm updates.
- Strong knowledge of Walmart from an omni and digital perspective, with experience with Walmart systems (Retail Link, Supplier One, Seller Center, etc.).
- Some out of state travel required (10%).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or related roles, with direct interaction and engagement with Walmart.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence and presence to influence key stakeholders—both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic and tactical mindset, demonstrating the ability to develop long-term business plans while executing short-term initiatives effectively.
- Deep understanding of the eCommerce retail landscape, including market trends, digital merchandising, and omnichannel strategies.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across internal teams, external partners, and senior-level stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and consulting with leadership, clients, and vendors to drive business objectives and influence outcomes.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with the ability to analyze data and present insights effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education or certifications in eCommerce, business, or related fields are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in Walmart.com / eCommerce (preferred).
