Dietetic Technician - Temporary
The Dietetic Technician works closely with clients, their families, and staff . Acts as liaison for the registered dietitian and culinary services to support the execution of registered dietitian prescribed diet orders/meal plans. Provides basic nutrition education and support to the culinary services, and assists the registered dietitian as needed.
Compensation Range:
Dietetic Technician: $19.97 - $27.82/hr
Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.
Schedule:
- 0.75 FTE, (30hrs/wk) working within approximately 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Exact days and schedule to be determined in collaboration with the Nutrition and Culinary Manager.
- This is a direct employee temporary position working from mid-March until approximately end of August 2025.
How Dietetic Technicians Empower Recovery:
- Provides active meal coaching and support for clients in Therapeutic Supported Meals as assigned.
- Collaborates with registered dietitian and culinary services regarding meal and programming schedule, and in completing a variety of clinical tasks such as daily weight tracking, group preparation, and meal planning.
- Coordinates the day-to-day ordering of Accanto catered meals as well as external meal purchases.
- Collaborates with registered dietitian(s) and culinary services to ensure all diet orders/dietary restrictions/dietary accommodations are adhered to.
- Completes food inventory and order for the site and or patient pantry as assigned.
- Receives and stores food/meal orders keeping serving and storage areas clean following food safety protocol based on site set up.
- Drive clients, staff, and supplies in the company vehicle as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics is required (completion of Dietetic Internship and/or Dietetic Technician Registration are not required).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
- Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification required
- Additional food safety certification may be required for some states and municipalities

- Non-exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility will receive premium pay at a rate of double time if they are scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
- Employees hired on or after February 20, 2022, will receive premium pay at a rate of time and-a-half if scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
- Exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility who are scheduled to work on a holiday may take the holiday on a different day during the same pay period. Additionally, non-exempt employees are eligible or various shift and weekend differentials.
