The ideal regional property manager will oversee companywide operations, leasing procedures, marketing oversight, escalated resident related issues, etc. Will also help to identify short and long range capital improvements, have familiarity with the competition, and oversee leasing/marketing efforts.
The regional property manager should possess a successful track record and a stable work history and have the ability to visit the sites and work effectively and fairly with site level staff, leading by example.
Should know how to use property management software and handle corporate reporting. As regional property manager, must have solid financial knowledge, prepare annual budgets, report on variances, and keep occupancy and resident retention at high levels.
The regional manager should be customer service focused, able to hire, train and mentor the staff, and be accessible to vendors/contractors and residents.
