Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team on 3rd shift (11 PM to 7 AM) in Pleasant Prairie, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring their reliable operation through preventive and corrective maintenance. You will play a key role in keeping production processes running smoothly, performing tasks such as equipment servicing, repairs, and alignment of mechanical drive systems. Additionally, you will help mentor and train other maintenance technicians, contributing to continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
As a Level II Maintenance Technician, you will use your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Your efforts will ensure minimal downtime and a safe working environment for all employees. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success by enhancing the reliability and performance of production equipment.
Must-Haves / Requirements:
- Proximity to location: Must be within a reasonable driving distance to the location or willing to relocate at your own expense.
- Written online assessment: Must be able to complete an online assessment test prior to the interview.
- On-site interview: Must interview on-site if you pass the assessment test.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing or equivalent skills in a maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical background.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS).
- Familiarity with shop equipment (e.g., drill press, band saw, portable power tools).
- 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
- Ability to mentor and train junior technicians.
- Experience with alignment of mechanical drive systems.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
- Familiarity with electrical system testing (e.g., using ohmmeters, voltmeters).
- Ability to work nights and overtime as required.
