The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating all human resources-related activities within the company. This position involves strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and the development of a productive and compliant work environment. The HR Manager will collaborate with top management to align HR strategies with company goals, manage employee records, and lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, job descriptions, and the employee handbook
- Support supervisors and managers in employee discipline, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, providing recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding employment practices
- Develop and deliver training materials and manage performance management systems
- Work closely with senior management to ensure HR goals are aligned with overall company objectives
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing
- Ensure timely completion of annual employee performance reviews
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits
Required Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and payroll-related laws
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain professionalism and respond to urgent situations with tact and urgency
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities swiftly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Supervisory Responsibilities:
While this role does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities, the HR Manager will manage the overall HR functions, providing guidance and support to all employees and leadership.
Work Environment:
This position will be performed in an office setting with occasional interaction with employees on the production floor.
Position Type/Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is based in- office, and we believe that working on-site fosters a cohesive and high-performing team.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources within a manufacturing environment
- Certification(s) such as SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP are not required but are highly encouraged
