Position Overview:
The Superintendent will collaborate with the Project Manager and report to the General Superintendent. The primary responsibility is to supervise and coordinate all activities associated with building assigned projects to ensure they are completed safely, within specifications, on schedule, and within budget. Additionally, the Superintendent may assist, train, and mentor assistant superintendents on their projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and participate in the planning and setup of assigned projects. Maintain care, custody, and control of the job site in alignment with our core value of Safety. Work with the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to develop the project schedule. Communicate with Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, owners/architects, and suppliers as necessary to coordinate workflow, facilitate communication, and resolve construction issues. Oversee the purchasing and planning of equipment and materials. Supervise the activities of all field workers and subcontractors on assigned projects. Perform close-out duties and general administrative tasks related to job site operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, building codes, and non-discrimination/non-harassment requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and all phases of construction projects.
- B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8 years of experience in the construction industry.
