What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician position at The Encompass Group?
The Encompass Group is partnering with a full-service mechanical contractor looking to add a licensed HVAC Service Tech to their growing team. The Service Tech will have knowledge of both commercial and industrial installations and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment
- Perform detailed inspections on chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, and other industrial HVAC equipment
- Provide technical expertise during commercial and industrial project planning, design reviews, and system testing
- Enforce strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as OSHA and industry-specific safety standards
- Train junior technicians on safe practices and proper use of diagnostic and service equipment
- Provide clear, detailed explanations of system issues and maintenance procedures to commercial and industrial clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of D2 license required, S2 preferred
- Proven track record in handling large-scale HVAC systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Proficient with industry-standard diagnostic tools and building management software
