Admissions Director:
This position coordinates and enhances the facility’s inquiry, admission, and marketing process. Provides customers with information via personal visits, market assessments, conversations, and follow-up. Conducting on-site evaluations of patient referrals and complete daily sales calls on target market and referrals
Job Description:
- Takes inquiry calls from hospitals, families, etc.; gives tours; and handles the admission process.
- Identifying needs of the patients/families and directing referrals to facilities.
- Identifying needs of the target market and represent the facilities at community partner meetings.
- Maintain accurate bed availability.
- Ensures responses to inquiries are handled properly, timely, and with appropriate follow-up.
- Accurately complete required information for pre-admission financial verification.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding census/premium mix enhancement and management.
- Prepare appropriate admission papers and obtain signatures from residents or responsible parties prior to admission.
- Ensures company processes are followed to ensure a timely clinical and financial approval process.
- Ensures consistent and effective process for coordination of admissions and bed management with appropriate departments and staff.
- Serves as a member of the marketing team to enhance resident and community relations.
- Assist in preparing inquiry summary reports, an inquiry log, and other reports as required.
- Assist in maintaining a database of medical contacts/community resources.
Requirements:
- Admissions: 1 year (Preferred) experience.
- Experience working in a SNF is required.
- Must be able to work weekend and overtime as required.
- Knowledge of reimbursement programs from payer sources.
- Ability to work flexible hours as responsibilities may dictate.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
