PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibilities

Ensure effective communication and coordination with EBD Community Partners to facilitate smooth interactions and collaboration.

Organize and lead meetings to keep EBD Community Partners informed about ongoing developments.

Collect outreach logs and event summaries from partners to track progress and impact.

Provide support to EBD Community Partners in addressing local challenges, offering guidance and resources as needed.
-
Assist EBD Community Partners in accessing program-developed outreach materials and ensure they have the necessary tools for success.

Work closely with EBD Community Partners to ensure ME&O efforts are culturally appropriate and aligned with program goals.

Ensure EBD Community Partners are progressing participants through the program lifecycle.
-
Review project documentation and update customer relationship management (CRM) databases.
-
Provide support for outreach, communications, and reporting efforts related to the project.
-
As needed, support other TEC ME&O projects within the Community Engagement and Outreach team, focusing on rural, hard-to-reach, and disadvantaged communities.
Other Duties

Plan, coordinate, implement, and finalize projects according to agreed specifications and deadlines, within budget.

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with program participants, Community Partners, and representatives from the implementation team.

Understand program processes and demonstrate excellent judgment when tailoring services and deliverables to meet customer needs.

Keep supervisor, contract manager, and members informed of roadblocks to project success.
-
Synthesize project activities to assist in grant reports and external facing documents as needed.
-
Provide subject matter expertise related to best practices for CBO relationship development, ongoing engagement, and capacity building.
-
Provide feedback on program processes and tools based on experience and community feedback.
-
Support the development and distribution of program-wide communications, marketing collateral, and other outreach materials.
-
Coordinate and implement project initiatives, events, and client and team meetings, as assigned; tasks may include scheduling, preparing agendas, and notetaking.

Produce regularly scheduled updates and reports on the progress of assigned projects.
-
Explore partnership opportunities with other nonprofits, resource providers, utility providers, and local government agencies.
Qualifications
-
5 years of experience in community engagement working with or for a community-based organization (CBO)
-
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant work experience
-
Experience with public speaking, events, and audience engagement, both in-person and online
-
Experience building partnerships and relationships across diverse communities
-
Biliterate in Spanish (preferred)
-
Knowledge of energy programs, experience with facility improvement contractors
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
-
Strong, enthusiastic, and authentic engagement skills that demonstrate a genuine interest in and an ability to communicate with a variety of audiences about clean energy and related topics

Experience working in education, training, and workforce development
-
Demonstrated ability in creating and delivering outreach communications and marketing materials
-
Experience working with communications for community outreach purposes

Strong attention to detail and highly organized

Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of authentic community engagement, including cultural awareness, knowledge, and respect of BIPOC, hard-to-reach, rural, and other demographics related to TEC’s mission of serving environmental justice communities

Good project management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to support various team members and complete assignments in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner

Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence

Ability to perform required project tasks independently

Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with advanced functions a plus (lookup tables, conditional formatting, etc.)

Experience with the Salesforce platform, Microsoft software, and Google Apps preferred

Valid driver’s license, insurance, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel to attend meetings and events

Current and active cell phone plan/service

Work Environment:
This position can work remotely except when business needs require in-person attendance at meetings and events at TEC offices or customer sites. COMPENSATION
Salary: The starting base pay range for this position is $84,300 - $95,000 annually. This hiring range is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range at the time of the posting and is subject to change. The actual compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including a candidate’s experience, education, training, skills, and certifications.
