What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLS Transmission Engineer position at THE ENGINEERING PARTNERS, INC.?
Engineering Partners (EPI) is a well-known engineering company in San Diego with utility, municipality, and government contracts focusing on electrical and power engineering. We are currently looking for a PLS Transmission Engineer that is a motivated self-starter to help build the Transmission engineering arm of the business. The engineer will have experience in PLS-CADD/Tower Transmission Design with an understanding of electric utility transmission construction and structure design.
The PLS Transmission Engineer will be utilizing PLS CADD and PLS Pole and PLS Tower to design and model new structures/circuits and remediate identified issues of client facilities. The successful candidate will use provided information to meet project goals and apply applicable standards: client, state, national, etc. Each project/location will have different issues, so thinking critically is imperative for successful execution of projects.

Technical Competencies of a PLS CADD Engineer:
- Experience with Transmission Design using PLS CADD and/or Tower
- Understanding of electric utility structure design
- Familiarity with utility structure construction and equipment
Education and Experience of a PLS Transmission Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- EIT preferred but not required
- PE preferred but not required
