Excel Summer Camps & Programs - Nurse
Who You Are
The Excel Programs of Episcopal Academy seeks a full-time seasonal Camp Nurse. Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Camp nurse is to be present and available to assist with any health conditions, medication administration, illness, or injury to staff and children throughout the camp experience, and to ensure their safety and well-being.
What You Will Do:
- Review health forms and allergy/medical conditions on rosters
- Administer medications and follow care plans for campers with medical needs
- Collect medical forms and action plans for any campers with health conditions
- Treat injuries and illnesses that occur with campers or staff and properly complete log incident reports as needed
- Communicate illness or injuries to the camper's parents/guardians, the Camp Director, and the team
- Inform the Camp Director of any concerns regarding the health and safety of the students or other staff members
- Work effectively with fellow summer staff members and collaborate on daily responsibilities
- Organize and store health forms, medication forms, and communication logs
- Serve as a positive role model to children and staff on campus
- Professionally interact with students, families, peers, the leadership team and the larger campus/school community
- Drive a golf cart as needed to care for medical needs
- Complete all background checks required by the Department of Education.
About You
The ideal candidate for the Excel Summer Camp Nurse will possess the following:
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR/First Aid and AED certified
- Previous experience working with children in a pediatric setting (preferred)
- Previous experience working with children with food allergies and other health conditions (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
- Push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds

Position Date
